I found a photo of my dad from picture day in elementary school. In addition to cleaning up what little blemishes and scratches there were on the image, I decided to try my hand at colorizing it. Getting the skin tone right is always the hardest part when recoloring images. There are so many variations to account for when coloring skin to keep the result from looking uncanny, overprocessed, or washed out.

Look at my dad though! He’s looking pretty good in this restored photo!
